Back at last

After two months of holidaying, we're back in Adelaide. Well, Eddie had only one month. I knew then that when he arrived in KL, time will pass even faster. We arrived in Adelaide later than usual because we had to transit in Sydney. Remember when I bought the tickets? Normally a flight from KL to Adelaide arrives early in the morning and all we could see were lights. This day we arrived at almost noon so we could see all the shops and streets that we could recognise, because we live very close to the airport. Sorry forgot to take picture.

Our flight from KL actually took off an hour later than planned. We actually thought we were going to miss our flight to Adelaide. We were the first flight to arrive Sydney that day so we didn't have to wait long to cross the immigration. Then we had to wait for our luggages and that took a while, about two or three flights arrived after that and the place was getting crowded (unlike Adelaide). After we collected our luggages the queue towards the quarantine was very long, I think they had like two exits. We had to get two of our bags checked because of the food we brought. Turned out they didn't even go through our bags, they just asked us to open one of them and all they saw was the top part and they let us go. Hmmm...I guess the quarantine officers in Adelaide has more time to search through people's bags.

After all that we had to transfer to another terminal to catch the domestic flight. We had two large hard suitcases, one cabin size luggage and one stroller to check-in. Luckily Virgin Blue have check-in counters at the international terminal but we had to pay $15 per adult to check-in there because we weren't on any of their partner airline before. We didn't mind paying to save all the hassle of bringing so many luggages and a toddler to the next terminal. Besides, the fee also include a bus ride to Terminal 2 where we were going to catch our next flight. By the way, there are three airport terminals in Sydney.

When we arrived in Terminal 2 we had some time to eat as we didn't have dinner the night before (starving!). It's such a long story, I'll explain this later. All I can say now is that it was all Jetstar's staffs' fault! We bought a footlong Subway and ate at the waiting area. I saw Krispy Kreme but didn't actually get my hands on them. This is the second time, first was at Terminal 1 when I left Sydney. Bird asked if I want to buy some and bring to KL. I really wanted to but I couldn't because my hands were already full. Didn't even buy one and try. Just found out that they only have Krispy Kreme in three states here, obviously South Australia is not one of them! I don't even think Australian Capital Territory (ACT) counts as it is so small and lies in New South Wales (NSW).

We arrived in Adelaide safely but not our stroller, it had gone missing. The customer service told us that it might have gone to somewhere else in Australia or it might arrive on the next flight. Anyhow, they will contact us when they find our stroller. Later in the day they called me up and told me what actually happened. Apparently another passenger had mistaken our stroller as theirs (so stupid!) and took it home and now their stroller had arrived at the airport. So the Virgin staff had to deliver their stroller to them and collect ours and send it back to us. Okay, we've already had enough troubles with airlines since the night before so, whatever!
